The Magnet Learning Communities (MLC), structured on the Magnet® model, builds on the success of the Magnet Recognition Program which measures nursing excellence.
The Community offers four Knowledge Centers:
- Transformational Leadership
- Structural Empowerment
- Exemplary Professional Practice, and
- New Knowledge, Innovations & Improvements
Each Knowledge Center offers a library of resources and moderated discussion forums. The library contains exemplars, bibliographies and research reviews to build upon your knowledge and skills and the existing work within your organization.
The forums include moderated discussions which bring together nurse leaders who share knowledge and experiences related to leadership, engagement, evidence-based practice, research, innovation, and outcomes. These events are collaborative and may be limited in size to facilitate discussion, questions and answers.
Magnet program staff clarifies information regarding the application process, review Sources of Evidence and exemplar practices, and provide "tips for success" for preparing your Magnet documentation.
