  • If applicants are ineligible, the application fee is refundable less an administrative fee.
  • Fees are shown in US dollars and based on organization type, (appraisal fee is inclusive) and are adjusted biennially to cover costs. Read Organization Type definitions
  • First time applicants may be accredited for 2 years. Re-Accrediting applicants may be accredited for up to 4 years, unless a probationary period is required.

ANA Constituent & State Nurses Association C/SNA ANA Constituent Member or State Nurses Association
ANA Organizational Affiliate OA Nursing organization that belongs to ANA as an organization
College/University COU An institution of higher education with authority to award baccalaureate or higher degrees and a Provider Unit.
Federal Nursing Service FNS A national governmental entity that provides nursing services
Health Care Facility HCF An organization that provides health care services (i.e. hospitals, hospital systems, outpatient facilities, clinics) OR Agencies with a Provider Unit that supplies health care workers to organizations including homes
Health Related Organization HRO Organizations that support health care delivery or services but does not provide direct patient/clinical care; Provider Unit located within this organization. (Ex: American Heart Association)
