Accreditation Fees

Initial and Re-Accrediting applicants are invoiced accreditation fees upon receipt of the application.
Payment is due within 30 calendar days of receipt of invoice.

  • If applicants are ineligible, the application fee is refundable less an administrative fee.
  • Fees are shown in US dollars and based on organization type, (appraisal fee is inclusive) and are adjusted biennially to cover costs. Read Organization Type definitions
  • First time applicants may be accredited for 2 years. Re-Accrediting applicants may be accredited for up to 4 years, unless a probationary period is required.

NEW Fee Structure (beginning 2017)
Organizations  still operating under the old fee structure will switch to the new fee structure in the year of their reaccreditation cycle. Application fees are invoiced when the application is due.

College/University COU An institution of higher education having authority to award baccalaureate or higher degrees; Provider Unit located within this organization
Federal Nursing Service FNS A designation for a governmental type of entity that is national in scope and provides nursing services
Health Care Facility HCF Organizations in which health care services are provided (i.e. hospitals, hospital systems, outpatient facilities, clinics) OR Agency that provides health care workers to organizations including homes; Provider Unit located within this organization
Health Related Organization HRO Organizations in which health care services are provided (i.e. hospitals, hospital systems, outpatient facilities, clinics) OR Agency that provides health care workers to organizations including homes; Provider Unit located within this organization (Ex: American Heart Association)
Multi-Disciplinary Group MDG Organizations that provide continuing education for nursing and other disciplines
Professional Nursing Education Group PNEG Organizations that providing continuing education for nurses only
Specialty Nursing Organization SNO A national nursing body that has a majority of voting members who are RN's practicing in a specialized nursing area, as so defined in the organization's governing documents.
